Curated in tandem with Casket Arts Building's First Thursdays, Casket Dances hosted work by Renée Copeland, Laurie Van Wieren, and Annika Johansson/Abigail Whitmore. Audience members traveled to each floor in the building for a different piece.

 

The piece Laps(e) found inspiration in fluid identities: how we form and reform them, how our roles have multiplicities, and how our position with family changes. Hanging blind contour drawings, a tilted rocking chair, and a fan evoked connections and memories.
